We still have an active range! And there's a range on the neighboring mountain (Arrowhead) that holds regular competitions. This is a great photo!!!
There's also plenty of hunting opportunities around Big Bear. Not a lot of game, but opportunity.

My Grandpa gave me his 1988 F150 in 2003, and I've been driving it daily ever since. Lots of deer and bears have taken their last ride in its bed. I also have a Royal Enfield Himalayan that I use for little recon rides.
When I went to Africa, I was terrified it was going to be a canned experience, something like a Disney Cruise, but I was pleasantly surprised! It's still raw.
A great Field Ethos moment for me was taking a trip to DTLA to see all the nuts rioting and report back. Got a healthy dose of tear gas while trying to get photos.
