Rogue Heroes by Ben Macintyre is a great read (and also the basis for the BBC series). Killing Rommel by Steven Pressfield is a semi-fictional novel from the period that is also extremely good. Crazy what the LRDG/SAS was able to do with so few resources. They might not have invented...
