Talk me into one of these? Already have the suppressors.
Well either way you need one because it’s a super fun range toy. From a practical aspect and if you hunt, it’s a devastatingly effective subsonic round.

Are the sound levels about the same as a 300 blackout? I have shot some suppressed subs out of a 350 legend and they are pretty damn loud.

the 8.6 BLK is by far the most fun and interesting cartridge I've shot in a long time. I've been diving into subsonic at longer ranges and its a challenge but very doable with quality ammunition.
When you say longer ranges, what yardages? Just curious what kind of trajectory you are getting with subsonic ammo in that beast of a cartridge? I'm a huge fan of the 300 Blackout with subsonic ammo but have been limiting mine to 200 yards.

I’m taking my Q Fix in 8.6 BLK to South Africa in August. It’ll be one of 2 rifles I’ll have. There will be blood!
Well, after yesterday’s range day, I’m not sure I’m taking the Fix to ZA in August. Results were, shall we say, mixed at best. I had 2 different loads from Gorilla Ammo, their 210 Barnes TSX, and the 190gr fracturing. 2 others from Phantom Defense, 185gr Barnes TTSX and their 160gr Barnes TTSX.
The 210s and the 190s were the most consistent, but still bigger than 2” inch groups at 100 yards.
The 185gr was absolute shit! All over the place, looked more like a buckshot pattern. The 160gr wasn’t much better. Next up in the queue will be some Just Cause 185gr loaded with Hornady CX bullets. Every gun makes it own tune, I just need to find the right note. The blue square is right about 2”x2”. That was the 210gr. Top of the other target is the 185gr “pattern” point of aim was the top right bullseye. The 190gr point of aim was the bottom right bullseye. The blue dot was the point of aim for the 160gr. The bulls are 2” circles. The rifle was sandbagged front & rear on a solid bench. I made no optic adjustments, just used the same point of aim for each ammo weight.

Reality bites occasionally

The trajectory is like a rock but it’s predictable. I’ve shot steel out to 500plus but hurting I’ve stretched it to 352 and confident I can add to that distance. At 352 the Discreet 280’s had full penetration.
