Armasight Operator Pro – 60 Second Review

Uncle Terry knows a thing or two about chasing things that go bump in the night. So when he says he likes a piece of gear to own the night, we pay attention. In his go-bag these days: the Armasight Operator Pro.

The clip-on design sets this thermal apart, enabling users to pair it with their normal daytime optic of choice. Simply bolt this bad boy to up your game in the field under darkness. Better still: no rezerioing required. That’s a real bonus.

This thing is seriously techy, to the point we don’t really know what they’re saying. An ArmaCore 640 12-up Gen 4 A-SWAP System provides the sorcery. The advanced video processing and clear imagery is what you will notice. And by notice, we mean identifying bipedal-type critters out to 1,800 meters.

A pair of CR123A batteries power the unit. The buttons are simple, multiple screens provide the full suite of veiws and such. And it features a record feature so you can prove you did what you said you did with your buddies.

The Operator Pro was made for serious nighttime schwacking, so we dig it.
