You guys and your "random" caliber suggestions that break my "I don't need another caliber to stock ammo for" rule. 416 Rigby, 9.3, everything with a PRC in the name....

I have a perfectly functioning Winchester M70 in 416 Rem Mag that has taken dozens of African animals and now I'm wondering why I don't have a CZ 550 in 416 Rigby.

Our GB Smoker agent is a bad influence.

You can't go wrong with .416 Rigby... also, a much better shooter than people realize, especially in a good rifle. Also, can confirm the CZ550 in .416 Rigby is a reliable setup - previous owner.

416 Rigby is a great caliber, particularly for the handloader. I have a Sako Brown Bear and have owned a CZ and a Ruger RSM. I run the Sako 416 and a 470 double for everything from white tail to elephant. Can be loaded with a 300 grain Barnes at 2700fps+ and will run a 350 gr speer soft point at 2600fps. Then obviously the standard loading of a 400 grain at 2400fps Trajectory of a 30/06 with enough horsepower for anything on the planet. Truly a 1 gun to do it all caliber!

Rolled back into another cycle.
What you're looking at here is the earlier days of SigArms building 1911s: Caspian frame, slide, grip safety among other items Caspian. Internals were Nowlin, WC, and put together by 1911 experts IN the industry of the day. You're looking for their trademark at the time blue or red SigArms hard cases that have the factory stickers which hold the matching #s to the gun, the red boxes are kinda rare. You can tell it's a caspian grip safety by the humpback on it. Tear it down, soak it in some oils, clean it down and shoot the shit out of em. Yeah, they're kinda heavy like your Mom....
