Canada: WTH?

Drove through BC on my way to AK in '93, always wanted to go back to hunt/fish. Now, I'm seeing they are doing a gun buy back (63C), with their paperwork having to filed by end of March. Ultimatum kind of registration/confiscation crap. Is Canada about to turn into being worse off than AUS? This is REALLY bizzaroo upside down world....Any Canucks here w insights?

Yeah, they’ve been going rapidly in the wrong direction for years. There’s no sign of it improving either.

Yup - they are ruining a great country. Don't know if it is still legal, but I brought a small game license in BC 10 years ago and was allowed to hunt grouse and other small game on crown land by myself with no guide - it was a cool experience - and the grouse hunting btw is out of this world.
