Dude... where's my Hilux?

Was torn on whether to post this in "watches" or "vehicles". But.... I'm still lacking a Hilux because the US can't seem to figure out that some of us NEED one, and I'm not happy about it.

Have you looked into some of the older Japanese Hi-Lux imports?

I've sort of gone down that rabbit trail, but haven't found anything worthy. Not to say it's not there, I just haven't found it.

It would just be so much simpler if the regulatory side was worked out...

I'd love Hilux. It would be like an old Defender but with reliability

I couldn't care less about "universal CCW reciprocity", as I see a ton of problems with "federalizing" anything. But.... the Hilux......

IIRC an FE dude was talking about the Canadian Rovers, but......after 25 years they can be legally imported to U.S.. Are there HiLux up there in Canuckistan?
