I can’t wait for the barefoot ones. I’ve got a buddy who has been wearing JG’s for almost two years. I was going to buy them direct until I saw your collab coming. Now I’m in a holding pattern.
A collab is very interesting! I may have to snag a pair. I've only got 5 or 6 pairs of BFARs...😅

Here's two of mine. The pair on the left is in Bronco Brown, a tough pullup leather which has aged well. The right pair is one of two I have which are in full grain black and have pre-production soles on them. Garreth, the owner of JG loved that I wanted to wear them on duty. At the time they didn't have black soles in production and he offered to set me up with a couple of the prototype soles to get me all black boots. I have a high polish pair as well as this pair. I am a HUGE fan of what JG has done. 1000054291(1).jpg

I have 2 pairs of Jim Greens - buffalo skin ranger.

I can't review the "regular leather" JG's as I have never had them... but these buffalo skin JG's have been my standard wearer since 2023. I have worn them barefoot, with socks, and in nearly all conditions–and they have only gotten more comfortable with time. Nearly bullet proof. Haven't hunted with them yet... but wouldn't hesitate to–they are quiet. The picture makes them look a little bit more potentially worn/dryer than they actually are.

I also have 3 pairs of Courteney's, worn over the years (two-tone Selous, 2-tone cape buffalo Bushveld, tan kudu w/brown hippo Vellie).

It's hard for me to compare the shoes I have, as I think they are all excellent.

I could be wrong, but I think the material chosen–for both brands–is a factor.
