Who the fuck ever thought co-ed MCT was a good idea?

Anyways, my MCT story is much worse: I got married. Yep, the weekend between weeks 2 and 3. I persuaded my lead instructor, Cpl. Speicher, to let me go a little early on Friday so my cousin was able to pick me up in time for the rehearsal. Had a great wedding on Saturday, nursed a hang-over on Sunday, and reported back to Camp Pendleton by 0500 on Monday. Somehow, we're still married to this day...

When I went through MCT, every Marine, including 03's like myself, went through MCT. Then the POGs went to whatever MOS school they had, while the 03s went to School of Infantry where we honed our warfighting skills only to be told by our new units we had learned everything wrong. Good times...
