I'm Capt Dave, born in Galveston, Texas with a passion for shooting guns, a facination with knives, hunting and saltwater fishing. Growing up on the Gulf Coast, my brother and I started out fishing inshore around the jetties with our dad in a 19' outboard. As we grew up, the boats got bigger, and we moved on to fishing and scuba diving oil rigs further offshore until a few years later in our mid 20's, we got our 100 ton Masters licenses and captained larger sportfishing boats for the offshore big game fishing tournaments (and for fun fishing too), during summers between college semesters.
As we grew up fishing during the summer months, our winter months were spent growing up in South Texas during hunting season.
Dad started us out on Bobwhite Quail, with a few Blue Quail and of course, Mourning Dove. As we got older, we gradually added ducks, geese, White Tail Deer, coyotes, bobcats, and hogs...

--- I guess I better fast forward a bit or we'll be here all night---

Today, and for the past 40 years or so, I've made a living as a Professional Sportfishing Captain, primarily running private boats for individuals who like to chase Blue Marlin, and the rest of the Pelagic species: White marlin, Sailfish, Tuna's, Wahoo, & Mahi-Mahi (Dorado). In my travels, I have fished the U.S. Gulf Coast, Florida's East Coast, the Atlantic Seaboard, fishing the Carolinas, Ocean City, MD; Montauk, NY and Gloucester MA., as well as Bermuda, the Bahamas, Isla Mujeres,Mexico; La Guarira, Venezuela; Abidjan, Ivory Coast; Dakar, Senegal; the Cape Verde Islands and Madeira, Portugal as well as the Great Barrier Reef off Cairns, Australia for grander Black Marlin.
It has been, and still is, a great ride.
Meeting interesting, and usually very entertaining people often making lifelong friends, while experiencing the world's top billfish destinations.
Which, as an added bonus a lot of times consists of exotic locales, spectacular landscapes, amazing wildlife, beautiful sunrises, sunsets and more, that leaves one in awe of our creators majesty.

...Man, I started this introduction to F.E. wondering what I was going to say and kinda got on roll there...
My apologies, I'll save the rest for when we're hanging around the campfire swapping stories, smoking cigars and sipping the whiskey!20230422_044531.jpgIMG_20200613_185230_430.jpg20211217_175217.jpgScreenshot_20220406-031608_Facebook.jpg
