Been a reader since nearly the beginning, but a little late to this party. Former Army officer, have spent my adult life in the defense and national security world, now a partner in a consulting firm working on some of our more pressing challenges. Married 34 years, a trio of daughters and last year our first grandson. Love sports, played hockey (now recognized as our most patriotic sport) my whole life. Very good shooter, mainly a poor golfer, and work out in an MMA gym regularly because I refuse to age gracefully. Unapologetic Rolex guy.

Welcome to Society! Thank you for your service.

What kind of shooting are you into?

Thanks! Have done many types. Shotgun sports, precision shooting, bullseye competition and a lot of tactical. I really never hunted much, but inspired in part by FE stories did start this past year.

Glad to have you, amigo. What did you start out hunting and how did it go?

Welcome Chris, working in that industry the MMA gym helps relieve a lot of built up frustration. I know we have several others in here that are up in your neck of the woods as well.

Welcome. I spent a decade in NOVA. And man has Va moved the goalposts on us since I first moved there. Most folks visit DC and think they could never live there, which I get. But the hiking/boating/fishing/paddling/beach opportunities from that area is really incredible. I had my boat in the water on the Potomac in about 15 minutes. Shooting was a little tougher, until Peacemaker came online. That helped for sure.

Thanks, Terry. Yes, I tell my trainer that those are some of my favorite hours of the week!
