Let’s see those home gyms. With three kids and the demands of life the idea of consistently going to a gym is laughable. Have built this up over a number of years thanks to annual wellness fund from my firm. Looking forward to seeing peoples set ups.

The Ski Erg is one of the most underrated pieces of equipment.

Nice to see a post on this sub-category... I was actually beginning to wonder if the category had been set up, then, left intentionally empty as a sign we should all too busy hunting/fishing/enduro-ing & recovering with good steaks, booze & cigars in leu of more traditional work outs... haha

All about the debits and credits. Got to put in that sweat equity to earn the vice. As Johnny said “I walk the line”.

I certainly understand, appreciate and respect the logic.... but I'd be a liar if I said I was worth a shit at balancing it myself. If I have time beyond work and kid events, I'm in the field, on the water or on my bike... Thankfully I don't have much time/bandwidth for substance aided relaxation, that would be an absolute anchor at my station in life... You have a great looking set up, definitely inspirational.

Pretty simple.

Jacobs Ladder smokes you legs and raises your heart rate beyond repair.

Bamboo barbell makes all your lifts wobbly, which is great if you are training to wrestle raccoons.

GoRuck sand bags are great. Bury them, press them, throw them, pull them, squat them. Do a million reps.

Kettlebells are great for all the reasons fitness influencers cover hourly.

A heavy sandbag is the most under rated piece of gear. A sandbag and a pull up bar and you can get in great condition.

Does anyone workout with a weighted vest? I’m trying to decide if I’m a wimp or have terrible posture, or if it’s just not for everyone.
I used to practice sprints with them but nothing more.

I have a GoRuck flat ruck sack. I walk 6 miles with a 45 lb plate. I think they go as low as 25. I don't run or do burpees with it.

How are you using it?

Also, rucking is good for posture

I try to walk about 3-5 miles a day with it on but it kills my neck at about mile 2.5.

My thought was to use it on body weight leg day but I’m not sure I’d survive if I can’t manage to walk with it.

Liz (my wife) and I walk 4 miles with weighted vests on 1-2 times a week. The rogue ones we have are pretty uncomfortable due to all the weight on your traps. I just ordered a different one for Lizzy if a different one makes it less miserable.

Let me know how she likes the new one. I dropped from 20lbs to 8 thinking that that would help, and I’m just not convinced it did. Still killed my traps and neck.

Might be a dumb question but have you stuck with using it for a while? When you start rucking with anything (backpack, plate carrier, vest) the load works muscles in new ways. Your upper back might just need time to adapt. Also make sure you have supportive shoes on, if your feet are off it throws the whole chain off and can manifest in odd ways.

Not a dumb question, when I used the 20lb vest I used it for a few weeks and I was walking 6 miles 4-5 times a week. I never got over the hump and it made me not even want to go walk, I dreaded it.

I just started with the 8lb vest. I’m willing to give it a shot. But I’d almost just rather strap some weight to my ankles and wrists 🫣 90’s style.

Cagney, maybe it’s the fit? GoRuck makes a female fitted vest.

Full disclosure - I’m a GoRuck ambassador. I use their vests and weighted packs regularly.
