Hey all. I'm Cody, born and raised in rural KY. I work in the outdoor industry in MT. Surprisingly, considering where I grew up, hunting wasn’t passed down to me. I was a combat photographer in the USMC for 5 years. Got to do a lot of badass shit and take pictures of it. During covid lockdown in the barracks is where I grew an interest in hunting/fishing through tv shows and youtube. Fast forward, I’ve killed a few whitetail & chased cow elk in eastern kentucky (didn’t punch tag), and have been lucky enough to tag along on everything from spring black bear, archery whitetail, turkey, kentucky bull elk, and others.

I love the outdoors (still learning of course), guns, photography, a good cigar, and of course— a glass of bourbon. I’m a big fan of Field Ethos and their unapologetic pursuit of global adventure and storytelling and pushing others to chase it too. Glad to be here and look forward to learning from ya’ll!

Nice! After several years of applying I finally drew a Montana Archery Elk permit for the Missouri Breaks. I'll be heading over to Montana over Father's Day weekend, then again for a few weeks in July, then again in September for the Archery elk hunt.
If my roots weren't so deep here in WA I'd be in Montana.
