Matt - Currently behind enemy lines in SoCal

Hi All,
I'm Matt. I'm stuck for now in SoCal where I feel like I'm behind enemy lines. My once beautiful state seems almost irreparably F'd. I'm an old Army vet who grew up in Colorado before it later got F'd too. My parents brought me to Cali, when I was a little too young to run away. At the time Cali was mostly OK. I'm plotting an exit soon. I fish all I can, mostly for trout. I target shoot and hunt a little. I explore the west by 4x4. These days much of my travel is checking out places I'd rather live. I have it narrowed down to a short list.

Any shot Avalon bikes is in reference to the e-bike rental in Catalina?

No, Michael, I used to own a building maintenance company based in Orange CA, with Avalon in the name. I sold it, then as an interim gig I was building and selling custom singlespeed MTBs, so I used Avalonbikes, as my company name and email. I still use the email.
