My go to "pig stickers" are a Weinand Bowie, made by Joe Weinand out of Lolo, MT a few decades ago for me... Very thick (1/4 inch) and heavy-duty knife that I used to use exclusively for back country camp chores and quartering big game. I've hacked through many elk/deer/bear briskets and rib cages on either side of a spine with this knife.

The other is an Anton Wingen Jr bowie, which is my current carry on my revolver cartridge belt that I use when I'm leading the horses into the wilderness backcountry. It does double duty as my do all camp knife and field quartering and cooking knife.

Both knives hold wicked edges and though neither is fancy, both are excellent heavy duty working knives.

Very cool knives! This is the Bowie I carry. It’s butchered a lot of critters IMG_6334.jpeg
