Nine Cups of Coffee Too Much?

It's not unusual for me to drink nine cups of coffee a day. Am I going to die? Am I self-medicating against ADHD? How much coffee are we drinking these days?

Nine cups of coffee sounds like just the right amount and, no, I don’’t think there’s such a thing as too much. Are we talking regular filtered drip coffee? I generally start my day with three cups, get an iced red eye when I leave the house, and have another couple espressos around lunch and dinner

Regular drip coffee, sometimes cowboy coffee, where you boil the grounds with the water.

Nine cups of coffee would be about the average amount of brew one would consume during overnight surveillance operations...which we did a lot before we/SERT would hit a house. It was our lifeline to staying frosty while working Title III wiretaps, deciphering code words, drop-offs, nicknames, etc. In fact, as TFOs we would put our order in at the beginning of the shift to make sure we had a steady supply. Since retiring, I still find myself sipping on multiple cups on the road to whatever states I am heading to to chase birds. I like the flavored coffee so don't judge with a bit of creamer.

I'm back on to one pot per day which is supposedly 8 cups. I'm grinding beans from the local coffee shop. I've had a bad nitro cold brew habit for a while but starting to go back to espresso during the day.

Not at all. I'm at least 9 cups a day...evidently it helps ward of dementia and alzheimers

I think I’m about at 9 cups a day based off of how concentrated I make it. Usually do pour overs and will add a few extra tablespoons to it. Doctor told me my migraines are from too much coffee, I just think it’s from my mother-in-law.

It's either a pot of coffee to start the day, or I start ripping cocaine, and since I have family members in LEO I guess I'll stick to coffee for now.

Surely can’t be a bad thing, we’ve been told coffee has so many health benefits, links to protection against heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and even studies showing it adds gut health protection. its rich in polyphenols that provide gut bacteria that helps reduce inflammation and helps balance metabolism.

That being said I guess it comes down to your body tolerance to how many cups you have a day and if it affects you sleep patterns, if not I’d say your good to go.

Health benefits aside, coffee is the only way to I get through the day.. I prefer not to count my cups.

A double shot of espresso before I can fully open my eyes. I like coffee, so I tend to choose it over water for the remainder of the day. One of my poor life choices.

I think 5+ cups of coffee, combined with adderall, and lip pillows is peak male performance . I also subscribe to Ron Swanson diet of red meat and scotch. Doctors may disagree

1/2 pot of expresso grind is about right, Bustello or the Puerto Rican knockoff at Aldi's hits the spot. Add some Irish Cream every day I can.
