I applied for and recieved Mexican residency a couple years ago for the sole purpose of no longer having to do gun paperwork on frequent trips. As a citizen and or a resident you can legally have 10 guns for hunting and self defense. Adding guns and removing guns from the list is possible but not advisable. My attorney strongly recommended that I pick the 10 guns I would keep there forever.
There were a few rules
No more than 1 handgun. The largest legal caliber for semi auto's is 380acp. The largest legal caliber for single shot and revolvers is 38 special.
No 5.56 (if it's stamped .223 it's good to go), military-styled semi auto rifles must be less than .30 cal. No 50 BMG.
What would ya'll choose today for the only 10 guns you will ever be able to own.
