How do you like the winkler leather sheath. When I bought my SD1 that sheath didn’t exist and it came with kydex. I bought the badger claw outfitters leather sheath because it allows the knife to ride a little lower in the pocketI'm in the same boat. Currently alternating between my 2 favorite Winklers the SD2 and the Sweet T. I picket up a Tailored by Cortes sheath, it was what he had on the shelf and not made for the Sweet T but works.

The Dorado. Do want. These are my three most-carried pocket fixed blades. Left-to-Right:
•Ben Tendick “Aikuchi” model, 3V steel
•Winkler/FE “Sweet-T” model, 80CrV2 steel
•Caleb Havens of Angler Knives “Dorado” model, CPM-154 steel
One of these things is not like the others, aye? Haha. I do enjoy a good tsukamaki wrapped grip.

This one is extra special. It’s Number 1 of his “Angler Art Series.” That mother of pearl under the wrap positively glows. It’s my dedicated beach-blade.The Dorado. Do want.
I dig that! Here is one Quiet Carry sent over to me. It is called “The Wady”…. I typically prefer a folding edc, but this little thing is pretty cool. It is extremely light. I find the size of the sheath works great in one of those lower side pockets you find on a pair of Kuhl pants.
That’s old school cool. My best friends dad worked with John graham for years at McKee foods and had a huge collection of grahams but other wise wasn’t into knives. I’ve been trying for years to buy them off of him. He’s got a 15” kukri he made that I’ve never seen another like it.I first fell in love with Graham Brothers knives when they started doing their Razel. I saw it at a blade show in 2010 or 2011 and thought it was the coolest design. This is a Graham pocket fixed I used to carry a lot more. Paul Bos heat treated S30V. View attachment 2192
Post a picture of that if you can ever see it again. That’s old school cool. Oh, that’s nice! You’ll be a fan of this new sheath that Winkler sent over for the Sweet T’s in upcoming releases.
I make my own knives (I've got a kitchen knife that's taking me forever) and this thread is making me think of a next project. For pocket use, what size do you think is ideal, taking sheath mass into consideration? You’ll be a fan of this new sheath that Winkler sent over for the Sweet T’s in upcoming releases.
Credit card ready....... I tried an AMTAC Northman for awhile and it was solid. My son talked me out of it. Have done a MKC mini stoned goat in their pocket sheath some. I tend to go back to the belt for the fixed blade and folder goes in pocket. When I still working in mining I kept a Winkler SD-2 mounted to my gear when they still made the rubber handles and it was great. But this upcoming release looks majestic.....You’ll be a fan of this new sheath that Winkler sent over for the Sweet T’s in upcoming releases.
I was curious to ask if you find the HumInt, top heavy? I find the setup sits high, there’s a lot of grip handle, and I don’t carry it well. I think I have the shorter blade version, maybe 3”.Im on board with the pocket fixed blades , I ussually carry a hfb humint or a Bradford guardian 3 in kydex sheath with utiliclipsView attachment 2174
Its def top heavy, keep in mind that height let's you grab it fast you dont have to dig, depending on the length of my shirt ill rock it front pocket or in the coin pocket above the front pocket. It stays relatively flat to my body thereI was curious to ask if you find the HumInt, top heavy? I find the setup sits high, there’s a lot of grip handle, and I don’t carry it well. How do you carry it? Front? Back pocket? I’ve considered getting the horizontal strap. It’s a great knife.
