Wild dream to retire into sailing, sailing other peoples' boats around the world for them, international travel. First I have to learn how to.

Closest big waters to us are Michigan and Superior; is there a sort of International accrediting/licensing which is preferred for licensing, etc?

Modern day KonTiki by todays' Viking crew. All pirates' opinions, comedy pieces, memes are welcome to this fire...

I am not much help here, not much of a WAFI myself…However, if it does work out, please don’t become one of those blowboaters that spends an hour at the fuel dock to pump $2.71 in diesel while you browse the ships store for 45 minutes while 5 other boats are waiting for fuel…
Also, and my last dock mate learned this the hard way, if you borrow the water hose from the fishing boat next to you to spray off your boat or fill your water tank up so the water goes on their bill and not yours, be mindful, most of us fishermen are pretty good at pranks… After seeing my last dock mate do this 4 times, I pulled the spray nozzle off my hose and filled it with Menhaden oil… That next time he sprayed his boat off was a douzy…
All the sailing advice I have, wish you well on your journey…

I'll just drive over to the Coast Guard station in MKE, the DHS funding freeze has their web down......what's a WAFI? IS that like a west coast FIB?
