Springfield Armory Kuna — 60 Second Review

Some things in life have to be first experienced to truly understand. The roar of a home crowd at a big game. A ice-cracking cold beer around the campfire after an epic hunt. Having the sex with a fair maiden. Until you know, you just don’t know. To an admittedly less degree, so too is shooting the right PCC.

The holy grail of such, in the sub-gun form, for most knowing shooters remains the MP5. It’s simply perfection in a shoulder-fired, 9mm PDW. With a hat tip to HK for making something truly singular, the Springfield Armory Kuna might just comprise the next-best thing, especially in a civilian setup.

Using a roller-delayed operating system, like many of the finer things out there, the Kuna can’t be fully understood until experienced firsthand. Suppressed and with a littering of steel targets before you is the ultimate demonstration of this little 9mm’s form and function.

You may not think you need a 9mm sub-gun. But then you shoot the Kuna, and you realize you absolutely need this roller-delayed rockstar from Springfield.

TY, for posting this up, the ewe toobz MP5 snobs turned up a nose at it. I'll find us a deal on the grab packs that come with 3-5 mags and a range bag kit....

Well sure, we'd all love an MP5. And I don't have thousands of rounds through a Kuna yet. But I've spent time with two of them in the last year, and they both run like butter, imo. I'm a big fan so far, and I finally just picked one up to keep for good. Gonna put a can on it and a red dot, and pick up some extra mags - Done.

Agreed, but as a frugal German -Norsk who cannot stop himself from buying " rare" bolt guns, I have to wait on the Kuna-Pac....there's rifles for sale everywhere! I've placed zero stock in ewe-toobz "experts" since they tried to sink the Sig Tac 1911. Thank You, Driv e on!

Mine is equipped with an Aimpoint M5, mounted very low. I'm very disappointed with accuracy.
The Nexus billet AL Lower is on the way which will reportedly solve the magazine issue and allow an AR FRT.
