I'm headed to the Ft Myers FL area in a week to chase Tarpon. Share some pics and tell me some stories of these impressive saltwater monsters.

Many a man has been consumed by the tarpon. It is akin to drug addiction. But more expensive. No description, no photograph, prepares you for it. Watching a hundred-pound fish come out of two feet of water will get you hooked quicker than crack.

Chased 'em in Charlotte Harbor many times. The craziest day was when the tax man came and wouldn't leave - the shark tax. Every hookup bull sharks bum rushed our lines. My buddy was reeling in one of those maybe 200-pound monster tarpon. A way bigger - maybe 8 foot - bull ate that sucker in two bites. It was wild.

You do learn to hate the tax man.
