I built this in a Sons of Liberty armorers course in October. I have about 250 rounds through it thus far. Bought myself a chronograph for Christmas and tomorrow I’ll be running through the Hornady catalog of factory loads to collect DOPE data on each. If anyone has a inside to Black Arc Munitions or BadlandsMunitions, would love to get some of their new NAS3 loads. I’ll pay for them. :)

It’s a 12.5” Noveske barrel. If you want more details, I included a screenshot of my build sheet.

I have an 18” proof steel barrel on a stag LH upper. I love the damn thing. My only complaint is it is t as quiet as bolt actions when suppressed. I’ve used everything from bonded 80gr Speer bullets to 107gr TMK’s. It’s not as accurate as my best bolt actions, but it’s consistent and forgiving. Factory 105 HPBT black ammo was crazy fast and very accurate. The steel alloy cases will be a crazy improvement for AR based 6ARC’s I don’t know what they will do compared to hand loaded bolt action pressure loads

I built a 6 ARC bolt gun for my kids to hunt with- they’ve piled up deer with it. I’m handloading to take advantage of the 62k psi limit: 90gr CX @ 2988 fps. Slick little cartridge.

This is my first experience actually getting data. My question is, how does this translate to real world applications? Like hunting.

I’m not going to get near the velocity with my 12.5. I can see the advantage of an 18 but I wanted a short, compact, for lack of better words, scoped truck gun.

I’m using a Hux Flow6k. It’s not as quiet as maybe I thought it could be.

I went to a range day where I was able to compare some other 6mm cans from Ridgeback Defense. Their Rhodie 6. And the Hesychia 6 from Irregular Design Group. Neither impressed me, sound suppression wise versus the Hux. I do think the IDG mount system is a very good option.

FWIW.

I built my daughter a 6mm arc based on the Howa mini action. It's quickly becoming my favorite rifle to shoot.

I've had good luck with CFE223 powder and 103 eld-x bullets at max pressure for a bolt action rifle. 20240303_094836.jpg
