Just a nerd from the great state of Nebraska trying to have some fun and learn stuff. I spent a decade+ working for an ammo company that shall remain unnamed, still do some consulting for a couple others and raise cattle & sell beef with my family. Designed a line of knives for KA-BAR once; they still send me checks every month...but they're a lot smaller now than they used to be... lol I enjoy everything shooting & hunting, watches, boots and blades... I was recently diagnosed with autisim, but it's been there all along.... good to meet everybody.

Welcome to the Society! Post some pics of those Ka-Bar designs when you can.

Thanks. I've been poking around a little...cool to see what you guys built here... here are some screeshots.

I was responsible for the "Johnson Adventure Blades" knives, a few are pictured, also a number of the Zombie knives....we used my folder design for the Space Force folder as well. Its old news, but they are great folks and it was a fun little project.

Super cool! I remember those Zombie knives were all the rage in the late 2000’s.

Man, you’re preaching to the choir on that. I’ve heard that so many times in this industry.

Trust me, feeling it is even worse than hearing it... LOL Unless consumers have an irrational emotional attachment to a brand or feature, (or "F-You money") they seem to be 100% loyal to their wallet... It's the same with direct to consumer beef...

You’re right. Consumers need to vote with their feet. We have been fortunate to have great support from our audience when we decide to make our products in the US over the cheaper options. But I understand it’s not like that across the board.

It really seems to be an "emotional connection" to a brand for consumers to justify the extra spend. You guys do a kick-ass job of knowing your audience and getting aligned with the solid strategic partners WHILE keeping the content about content and not products. Enjoyed the chat. I'll shut up and leave you be. See you around the forums...
