Let’s see it. What are you currently carrying? Do you have a rotation, do you swap ‘em seasonally, or do you stick with the old standby?

My rotation:

Smith and Wesson 640-1 (I carry this in the FE Ghost holster)

Smith and Wesson M&P Shield 9mm Performance Center

Glock 19 Gen 5 with a Vortex Defender 6 MOA (I got it on pro deal for less than a take of gas and fully intent on swapping to an RMR soon) and a Streamlight TLR-1 HL

The recent rotation for me has been:

S&W 442 in a Ghost

S&W 351C in a Ghost

Walther PDP 3.5” F-Series

Glock 43X with a Vortex Red Dot in a Vedder OWB. I try and always open carry, if I’m allowed to do so. I want people to realize it’s a right we have. You wouldn’t believe the people who come up and talked to me about it. Always an opportunity to have a conversation/educate about the 2A - and everyone has been cool about it. If I do need to carry concealed, then I carry my SW 642, with Houge grips. I have a cheap, IWB holster, not sure where I even bought it -but it’s my favorite. I have Hornaday Critical Defense ammo in both.

Usually I carry the G19x, but if I’m running into the store just wearing gym shorts I have a PSA micro dagger that is convenient and lightweight. On occasion I’ll carry a 2.5” Ruger GP100 with 7 rounds of .357 Mag

Currently carrying Bul Armory Tac Pro 4.25” and an Atlas EOS using Gunslinger or Southern Trapper holsters. If in gym shorts or sweats I use a Phlster Enigma.

I carry a CZ 75 SP-01, it is a full size pistol but carried AIWB there is no sense for the weight of this blaster (fully loaded, 19+1) and I carry one or two 30-round magazines on standby. I am using the CorBon DPX 9mm +P 115 grain solid copper hollow point. I have a Holosun 3MOA green dot for primary utility. Easy to hit 6" diameter steel at 100 yards with this rig. I retired my customer G19 with Trijicon dot sight (also easy to hit a 6" steel at 100 yards) for EDC but will use the Glock for belt or chest rig when hunting or hiking (weight is important, after all). I also carry a S&W hammerless light weight .38 with 158 grain hard cast SWC (penetration is important), extra ammo carried on Bianchi stripper clips. Easy to conceal all of this under my typical tee shirt or 'Hawaiian shirts' in Florida.

Great to be armed but open carry 'in town' among close proximity to people, is a less than ideal way to carry for protection. If you want to open carry, be sure to have a level 3 retention holster so that your blaster cannot easily be snatched. Criminals look for guns 'walking around'. Just something to think about. Look at the video: 'Open Carry Firearm Snatched in Seconds—Then It Gets Even Worse!' If you are carrying a gun, it is your moral responsibility to prevent bad people from stealing it and using it on innocent people.

My background: 1/75 Rangers for many years; 17 years Dignitary/Executive protection (CONUS/OCONUS); many years more carrying and looking for bad guys/gals and some have presented themselves for me and became quite surprised.

I mainly carry a Springfield SA-35 with some modifications (night sights, trigger/action job, palm swell grips) in various holsters depending on the weather. I live where it’s cold 3/4 of the year so concealing isn’t hard. I rock a galco Miami for road trips and a galco owb or iwb for daily carry. During the summer I carry a p365.
