I put this on layaway after barely looking at it last week. Spent the entire week thinking it’s fake and researching it while away at work. Picked it up today and examined the hell out of it. Turns out it’s real. And it only cost $300.

As far as I can see it’s missing is the proper wood and bayonet lug. Someone cut the stock down and removed the barrel band and sanded the groove. It is the correct furniture, however. The bayonet lug could have been broken off at one point I’m assuming.

What is it going to be dropping in Africa?
Not sure yet. Whatever opportunities present themselves as far as plains game goes. I like to take one old school gun and a modern one. This trip will be the sporty .303 and my .300 Win Mag Seekins Element. I did dangerous game last time and used my 450NE and my 416 Rigby. This year I’m looking at some of the wildebeest, hartebeest, waterbuck, etc.
