Zambia – THE TIME MACHINE
Wild. Untamed. Zambia’s legendary Luanga Valley did not disappoint. Large herds of Cape Buffalo, village-marauding elephants, and the highest density of hippos and big cats found anywhere in Africa.
We waited out the dry times waiting for the first rains. When they finally came, the safari turned into a true old-school adventure: sleeping in leaking grass huts, vehicles mired in mud and crocs filling the river.
By the way, to pass the time we also took over a village.
