Nope... Number 1... I basically dropped out of highschool (at least during the day) and worked as a logger, making $20 an hour under the table and attending night school at Olympic College in Bremerton. The only reason I did that was because I wanted to be a Marine and the Corps said they wouldn't take me if I didn't get my diploma. My recruiter met with the school principal and counselors and worked out an arrangement where I could earn my credits at the college at night.. I started logging in junior high bumping knots on the log landings as a 14 year old, then graduated to choker setting and high climbing and rigging before I eventually became a faller and equipment operator.
