The other, I already own. An Ithaca 37. It’s what I grew up seeing my Dad shoot. My younger brother claimed it as his inheritance while my Dad is still living , so had to buy my own.
I'd like to own an authentic stagecoach shotgun. I'd also like to own an authentic conductors watch from the steam locomotive days, and I'd display them together. Both of these represent seemingly common objects that changed the trajectory of our nation: the watch was used to make sure the trains didn't collide on the tracks, and the coach guns served a similar purpose of ensuring that the coaches (carrying everything from people to mail to money) made it to where they were needed so that our country could build. Artistically crafted, unused guns are awesome--I truly do admire them--but I'd rather have a firearm that's beat all to hell because it did its job well.
