There are several staples that always seem to be around . . . Bain’s is a South African single grain. It’s pretty solid, I pick up a couple of bottles every time I’m traveling home. I’ve tried multiple varieties, they’re all good! Too bad I’m out right now!
The Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is a good one too.
The Far Brtter was a bottle my wife brought back from a trip to TN. I enjoyed that one very much. Too bad I can’t get it here in Wyoming.
Yellowstone is a good daily drinker, nothing too fancy, but it’s pretty solid as well.
Horse Soldier, any of the different ones they bottle have always been good too.
The Devil’s Brigade is awesome! A 60% American 40% Canadian blend, just like the makeup of the personnel in the WW-2 unit the 1st Special Service Force.
Another local distillery here in a little Village called Kirby, WY is Wyoming Whiskey. Another super solid choice. All their variations have been well received.
I usually pack a bottle of Wyoming Whiskey and the Devil’s Brigade for our mates in South Africa. It’s always good to show up without empty hands!
For Scotch, Johnnie Walker, Black Label is a solid go to.
