Currently riding out the winter storm in north Mississippi. Southerns and ice don’t mix well so we’re hunkered down for several days. In Schoby’s article https://fieldethos.com/schobys-guide-to-south-dakota-preserves/, the idea of a February room is discussed to pass the time when there’s not much else to do. Please share some pictures for inspiration if y’all have one since I have some time these next few days to build one out or at least get started.

It's too much of a mess for pictures right now, but mine is my mancave garage. I have a bunch of weights, weight bench, and a rowing machine. I have all the tools needed to work on cars. I have a reloading/ gun cleaning bench. There is a decent sized TV on the wall, a beer fridge, some bourbon and stools. I have a good set of bluetooth speakers for tunes.I have a decent amount of woodworking equipment, and a couple of welders. If I'm to be out there for hours relaxing with buddies, I break out by comfy folding camp chairs. I have both a heater and air conditioner, so my "Febuary Room" can be an August room. It sounds like a lot of stuff, but I can move one or two items and get a car in there, if that's what I want to work on. I'm designing my retirement version of this essential space in my head for the next home.
