We all know your feed just becomes whatever you click on. Mine is over-freakin-flowing with red, white and blue Free Bird goodness over hockey gold. I'm no big hockey fan, but I'm really into sports. And yes, I was yelling at the TV Sunday morning. This is not U.S. over Russia in '80 in terms of pure upset or socio-political intensity. I mean these are highly-paid NHL stars on our team too. But it's still pretty sweet.
And this was all by design. Some time back, Team USA picked Free Bird as its "Goal Song." Since then, they defied the odds to win Olympic Gold, pounded a shit ton of beers, and told everyone who will listen they love their country.
That's why they are currently everywhere, and it's probably not going to end anytime soon.
