Thats a big gun.
That's what HR said......8 lbs., it's actually much lighter than the Browning .300WM we have now, about the same as the 35W Lipsey's. To the wood shop now to build a better/bigger gun rack. These FEs people are dangerous, wife took the credit cards.....gas card only. ;-)

Am I going to Africa or Alaska anytime soon? Probably. Career retirement looms in next few years, Tim Sundles and FE have re-lit an old fire into a much hotter stove. The Lipsey's Hawkeye African, .375 Ruger. Thank You Tim, Kim, and Don Jr......I'll die of a goring instead of Covid-by Faucci! View attachment 1552
Beautiful gun. That’s a great one to take to either spot.

Yes sir, that will get it done on either continent.
Yes. Tim just responded from their ranch in the Free State of Africa; no worries on the ammo/break-in. You guys actually know Tim, but I have a loyalty to his BB Ethos; I'm not paying more for his ammo, we're investing in a message and a life and a philosophy that weathers into 3 generations beyond....hopefully more. Drive on!

OK, update from the FFL visit, who is also a retired Engineer: Do NOT do NEW rifle break-ins at sub-zero temps., unless you had it Cryo treated beforehand. His current hobby is working on the cam roller bearing updates for the Hemis, so I'll trust his metallurgy knowledge. He didn't say exactly what/when the temps are decent for this, but that his reference point was around 50 degrees farenheit, not anywhere near what we've had with wind chills 5-20 below zero. [ Just remember, you can NEVER add TOO much water to a nuclear reactor.] GenX SNL test there.... Drive on!
