Hey all!

I guess I need to introduce myself.

My name is Jackson, and I am a competitive USPSA shooter, firearms instructor, and rancher out of SW Colorado. I have been shooting competitively on and off for about 10 years, I started in 3 Gun, then moved into USPSA about two years ago. I compete whenever I am not busy pursuing degrees or swamped with work. On that note, I am the owner and operator of my equine ranch during the late winter and into early summer, and a private firearms instructor in my off season. There isn't a lot to talk about with my ranch work unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it), however in my short time being an instructor I have had many interesting stories I would love to share at another time!

I found Field Ethos shortly after learning I had some second cousins on my Dad's side who lived in Rhodesia and fought in the bush war as light infantry. Then came the obsession with brushstroke camo, FAL's, and a culture I would never get to see for myself given my being born well after the war ended. I have always wanted to go visit and hunt in Africa, and get my hands on some Castle and Lion Lager!

I hope y'all don't mind a young guy stopping by occasionally to chat! looking forward to what this discussion board has to share.

Welcome to Society, Jackson. We all love stories around here. Head over to the Campfire Talks and Beyond!

Welcome aboard Jackson! My daughter got her degree in equine science from CSU and is currently the Equine Program Director (or something like that) for a ranch east of Denver. She also just got her CCW (she has an FN Reflex). CO is on our short list for when we retire so we can be in proximity to her

Welcome! That’s such a cool background with your second cousins. If they have any cool pictures they want to share, feel free to drop them in here.
