I eventually need to do a formal introduction, but I enjoy playing the guitar. I’ve now played for 20 years and I hope that I’m improving everyday. I would like to know what is everyone playing on a daily basis. My main guitar at the moment is a G&L ASAT that was formerly owned by a player at the Grand Ole Opry and by a member of the band Point of Grace. I’m also partial to Martin Guitars.

Show me what you play and don’t be shy to show off the collection.

@Pete Correale show everyone your guitar skills

Currently playing a 2017 Gibson Hummingbird Pro CE, a 2023 PRS Silver Sky SE, and a 1981 Sho-Bud Pro 1 pedal steel. The pedal steel was purchased at Emmons Guitar Co in Sevierville TN. I made the purchase online and arranged to pick it up in person. When I called to schedule a time to come get it they told me it belonged to a relative of the late Hank Williams. Apparently Hank Sr had a child outside his marriage to Audrey and the grandson of that child owned this guitar and played it. His name is Ricky Fitzgerald and he tours under the name Hank Williams IV and bears a striking resemblance in appearance to and sounds a lot like Hank Williams Jr. That is me with the guitar in the store before taking it home to NC.

The auto harp is really cool. I like hearing Mother Maybelle Carter play it.

Love the Gibson. My dad has a SJ200 that he lets me borrow from time to time and it’s incredible. How does the Silver Sky play compared to other Strats?

Who doesn’t love the Carter family?

How long have you been playing Steel? That’s my goal to pick up one day but I’m not sure if one just picks up playing pedal steel.

Also, sweet hat.

I bought that pedal steel almost exactly a year ago. I've never played it out anywhere yet but I've learned the basic fundamentals and have learned to play some of favorite stuff on it. It's a lot of fun. Much different than anything else I've done though but I just love the way they sound so I had to get one and start learning. Richard Childress Racing is less than an hour from my house so me and my pastor made a trip to check out the museum one day. Definitely worth it if you grew up watching Earnhardt and the other RCR guys like I did.

The family and I are planning to camp at the October Charlotte race and go visit the shops. I got to go to DEI before they quit letting the public come. I want to go to RCR and The Petty shop. I grew up a big Earnhardt fan so I feel like RCR is a must stop spot.

Yea definitely do that. I'm about 45 minutes from the Charlotte track. I've seen a couple of races there. The hall of fame in Charlotte might be worth your time too if you haven't been.
