So we know the Winkler knives are popular with the FE crowd, but are any of you all tomahawk/hatchet lovers? Maybe it’s having grown up in Appalachia that endeared the axe to me, but I never travel far without one on my side or in my pack. Here’s an older picture of some of mine. Some of these are gone, and some new ones aren’t pictured.

So… wadda ya got? Let’s see ‘em!

My buddy Justin Raney took this otherwise inexpensive and not exciting CRKT and made a really great project with it. I was super blessed when he gifted it to me.

That’s one of Elmer Roush’s designs! Freyr maybe? Those CRKT hawks are super customizable and way better quality than the Cold Steel options. That’s a gorgeous custom, man! You’ve got good friends.

Ryan (and the RMJ shop crew) is a friend. He took a chunk of shrapnel that almost killed my little brother in Afghanistan and turned it into a pendant for him to wear. I might submit a short story about that, now that I think about it.
I think that’s a great idea!

I have zero ‘hawks but am interested. The HFB and Ed Calderon’s versions are fine examples.

Hey, thought I'd chime in here - i love axes. Im a FE lap runner and a professional axe Smith. Started with Hawks, now make mostly camp axes 🤙 i see you've got an RMJ Jenny Wren - the designer, Ryan, is my buddy. Here's two axes I finished before Xmas and before duck season took off. Forged by the sweat of my brow in Indiana.

This is cool stuff. That pocket cleaver is super intriguing.

I really just need a reason to buy one. :). Ok, a good reason. i need to outdoors more.

One of the coolest axe moves I’ve see was Andy Arrabito, drive his HFB hawk into a tree, and use it as a LR shooting position.
