Just survived my first tornado

I grew up in SoCal so have always had some level of go bag for earthquakes or fires - the foothills of LA county were always on fire or shaking. I figured I would need a tornado kit since we relocated to OK a few months ago. This is all I’ve got for my kit at this point?

PS - any suggestions welcome for the real kit.

You don't want to go into any tornado half -cocked buddy.. you're going to want a full bottle of the stuff!

Here's my "kit" ... Come to think of it, it appears I need a refill too! Passport and wallet is in the event you end up like Dorothy and in a foreign land when the wind stops! The other articles are for protection if you end up in a foreign land when the wind stops!

I have a short list in our go bags, cash, food, basic first aid, Lifestraw, emergency blankets, multi-tool, tourniquet, glow sticks, knife, extra change of clothes, flashlight/batteries, roll of tp....and Shifty beat me to the FULL bottle. Supplemented in the back of each car with a fuller assortment. Back of the truck has a Rubbermaid bin...sleeping bag, freeze dried food, pair of boots/socks, larger assortment of first aid, fleece jacket/hat and rain suits, small camp stove and gas can. Back of the cars, it's in duffels. Case of water in each car.

That sounds like a very mobile set up. You’re ready to get out of dodge.

I grew up with tornados in IA. They were, essentially, spectator events. Figured I'd left them behind after I left... <Europe - no tornadoes, Points "afield" - no tornados, AK - no tornados, SD - lots of wind, SC - no tornados...> Then... wham. Middle Virgilina. Tornados.

Who knew?
