Gentlemen, some of you I know, some of you I’m meeting for the first time.

I’m Jeff Perry—the general counsel whipping boy
that Field Ethos lovingly roasts every chance they get. The guy who might have finally clawed his way onto a recent masthead after years of faithful servitude.

All this high-powered FE legal wizardry was supposed to bankroll a shiny new boat by now. Joke’s on me: I still don’t own a single goddamn thing that floats.

Eager to bore you elites with my subpar field stories, questionable gear takes, and the ethos of a lawyer who bills like a beast but shoots, at best, with the rock-steady precision of a strung out junkie.

Honored to be tolerated,
Fellow lawyer here. Nice to meet you sir. I guess I’ll cut straight to the chase, any need for an assistant general counsel? 😅

I just made friends with the AG from Montana at our FE SHOT show party ---easily the best connection I made all night!

😂 love this thread.

Any suggestions on CCW insurance?
It's called AOR, attorney's on retainer, bunch of ewe tooberz channels have discount codes. From my former LEO perspective MS is pretty darn close. Articulate........L.E.; Sir, I'm glad you survived this vicious encounter, but it looks like you emptied your gun? ME: Yes, I had a clear background, wasn't sure if I was hitting the target, until the threatening weapon came OUT OF hand(s). With every trigger reset felt, feel the gene pools maintaining your presence, with a smile.

AOR is the one I’ve been leaning towards. I’ll look into the discount codes - good eye.

IIRC I went through "heavy duty country's" ewe toobz channel, he's a (TX) former rodeo cowboy, don't fuck around. As a former LEO I know this: I may be right, in a legally good shoot, but the Act-Blue no matter who DA's up here are scum; they'll try to take your house if they can. No, that's not an exaggeration, so when that moment hits and you need to use it, there's no time to wonder which County you're in; I saw what appeared to be a threat to my/their great bodily harm or death, so I needed to stop that threat.

Absolutely. I’m a banker in Tulsa metro, so I hear laws are very heavy on stand your ground… but I don’t want to try it, or end up back in CO/CA visiting family and need some help.

Don't leave any witnesses.
I would second this and defer to our law enforcement friends as to the “workarounds” they’ve developed in these situations.

Otherwise, lots of offerings out there on the CCW insurance side but not sure which actually have a record of paying out vs. simply collecting premiums.
