I smoked Camel Filters but stopped smoking when i was 34 and started dipping Copenhagen Snuff to get off the smokes. Its been a 22 year love affair with Copenhagen now but i still keep a pack of cigarettes around for when i have a beer.I have a pack of American Spirits beside my chair now but probably only smoke maybe 2/3 a week.A pack lasts me a long time now.

It’s very rare that I smoke at this chapter of my life, but I still enjoy the Cowboy Killers and a Camel Blue whenever the opportunity arises. What is your favorite pack of smokes or cigarettes from way back that you still wish you could purchase. My grandpa (in my profile picture) always spoke fondly of Raleigh Filter Kings.
I can tell you what I would wish to never purchase again.... Back in the day, when I had the spearfishing business down in Panama, I used to buy these Chinese cig's from a illegal vendor on the side of the road in a sketchy part of the city "David". 5 dollars for a entire carton, no bullshit.... I ripped the fuck out of those things for an entire season down there, and they danm near killed me. They definitely fucked up my free diving ability. Later on, I met a guy from the states who was living down there, and he told me a story about how he contracted a lung fungus from smokin' those things and he ended up in the hospital for like three months..... danm

Chinese Lung Fungus would be an epic band name.

I was never a cigarette smoker myself, my Dad was a diehard Winston man, my uncle's were Camel and Marlboro men. My Grandpa smoked Pall Mall unfiltered... I inhaled enough second hand smoke growing up, LoL 😂.. I do love a cigar or my pipes though!
My Dad quit smoking when I was 10 and took up Copenhagen.. I started dipping Copenhagen about the same time. Got some minor oral cancer when I was in my early 30s and gave it up. Now it's just cigars, pipes and bourbon for me.

IMHO pipes are the best way to enjoy tobacco... maximizing the positives while minimizing the negatives. Pipe tobacco has, by far, the least amount of additives that are in cigarettes/chewing tobacco. Also, much easier to self-regulate than cigars.

There was a medical study not long ago where it was found that someone that smokes 2-3 bowls of tobacco a week actually lives a longer life than those that do not smoke at all, as pipe tobacco is a natural "relaxing" substance that cuts down and decreases stress - stress itself being one of the actual leading killers of men. It was all other forms of tobacco usage, especially cigarettes, that were found to decrease life expectancy.

It's time for my Alp switch up, fr the Am Spirit golds; used to chaw the Kodiak many years ago, what say the Alpers? 3/6mg? Is it online order only?

I like the 6mg wintergreen Alps. Depends on where you live for in-person availability. If you are in the country like I am then probably online only. They blow Zyn out of the water in terms of longevity and flavor.
So I currently get my nic from Black Buffalo which you use like regular dip and spit into a can, etc.

For Zyn, do you just swallow? i.e. I could use in the office

I'll answer bc I'm on..not because I've tried them. But yes, you swallow.

As someone who fell victim to drinking from a dip bottle as a child, make the swap.

I'll probably not give up the BB, but it would be nice to get a nic hit in the office

I really wanted to love Alps both because of the owner and because the flavor/longevity of flavor was definitely superior to pretty much everything else. After switching for about a month I found at my tin per day rate they really ripped up my gums when compared to Zyns.

Anyone else had the same?

Mine didn’t seem to be affected, but that could be from years of Copenhagen abuse.

Haha I'm not above rippin whatever heater is offered. I'm getting motivated to grow again this year...in which case I'll bring a supply with me whenever we all get to hang.
I’ll make sure to be there and yell at you!
