North American Superslam

Hello All,

My name is Jack I’m 24 and an avid hunter. My great uncle hunted 6 continents and had the North American super slam, turkey slam, African super slam along with others. This was all back between the 70s until his death in 2003.

I have set a goal to complete the NA superslam by the time I’m 50. I’m looking for recommendations on what to go for first. I have white tailed deer done already.

Secondly I’m looking for recommendations on 4-5 bolt actions to be able to complete the slam. I have a 7mm PRC havak element. I just took delivery of an Arrowhead rifles 22 creed. My thought is if I get a 300 PRC and a .375 rugged I could complete the task with those 4 rifles. Maybe. 6.5 PRC as well.

Would love your thoughts. The thought is I invest in 4-5 nice rifles to do the whole slam with abc then pass them down to my kids with a legacy and stories.

I can’t argue with your caliber options for those bolt guns. I’m looking forward to seeing and following your success through this journey!

At your age start applying for every Bighorn sheep tag available, employ a tag service to do this for you. You may draw a tag before you're 60. Sheep is going to be the biggest hurdle because of cost and availability, a Stone Sheep hunt currently starts at 80k+ and Dall 35k+.

A good portion of the NA Superslam takes a ton of money to complete. So make a plan for that.

You might consider an extra barrel on the Havek in 300PRC to swap as needed when needed without a new rig. But also, im not gonna talk you out of a new rig. Goodluck, cant wait to see the updates.

Other than that, pick a tag service and start applying religiously. Hardware is the easy part.
