For a long while, every time I was around a woman that I was attracted to my chest would get tight, I had the sensation that I couldn't breathe, or talk, like my throat was constricting.. my eyes would water and when it began impacting my vision I resolved to go see a doctor about it the next time it happened, no matter how embarrassing...

The next time it happened I was in a park, despite the late hour I went to urgent care, I shared my symptoms and my concerns with the doctor. They ran some tests... After awhile they came back...

"Good news" the doctor said, "you're not allergic to women"...

He went on to explain that I was experiencing a perfectly normal physiological reaction to pepper spray...
