You could always pull a UN douche on them. Treat pronouns like Taiwan. Play to their playbook. There is no discussion because you refuse to acknowledge or understand it.

It is ridiculous nowadays when a person trying to help someone is turned into the transgressor. People wonder why others aren’t willing to help anymore. This is a prime example of that. You step up and next thing you know they are trying to crucify you. Plus they are even too pansy to just do it outright. The 1st meet was to determine if an investigation is warranted, and yes they are moving onto 2nd phase @ this Wednesday's meet.
Scenario; I noticed about an 8 year old boy in a wheelchair being treated beyond unfairly (IMHO) by his guardian, boy appears to have a down syndrome-like condition.
So, I approached to professionally let said guardian know that we can SEE what he is doing with these children, there were 4 kids total, and dude went into sovereign citizen mode. It was in a very Public space, people started to come forward to also advocate for the boy in the wheelchair and the guardian got embarrassed/pissed, filed a complaint.
City reviewed the camera footage, perfect audio/video, and has alleged that I unnecessarily escalated, bullied, and harassed the guardian. No, I did not, but the surrounding people witnessing who stepped forward brought this dude into compliance pretty quickly. I used every aspect of our training with this guy, 100% in compliance, almost a textbook example on what to do. I'll advocate for that person/minor being mentally/verbally abused every day of the week. FYF, abusing a child in public because you've gotten so comfortable doing so? No, I won't be silent and watch.
No demand for my "preferred pronouns" yet, I filed an informational report with the DOJ's ADA division on behalf of the child's Civil Rights.
Feelings. It's about this dude's feelings being hurt, caught treating children like shit in public. No, I won't stand down because somebody in City Hall might object to an outcome. It is ridiculous nowadays when a person trying to help someone is turned into the transgressor. WTF is all I can say.Feelings. It's about this dude's feelings being hurt, caught treating children like shit in public. No, I won't stand down because somebody in City Hall might object to an outcome.
These are very touchy, the victim's usually are targeted again later behind closed doors, guy refused to even verbally ID who he is by first name. I have a feeling he is a foster parent who has been reported before, knows City Council people already as friends.....Meh, these are all beautiful children.
Me; What'd I do right, wrong, what would you like done better?
Them: We need you to have an empathy overview for the Dad, similar to the Golden globe awards and the tourette syndrome thing....
Me and my Reps all went into a silent WTF mode.....Golden Globes? I LOVE me some Ricky Gervais!!! Onward....
Amen @Godfather! @Milo'sSyndicate at some point you/we/me just need to stop "reacting"... Not because life gets easier, but because we get tired of wasting energy... We need to realize that not everything deserves our attention, that's not "giving up" that's "leveling up"...Oh, PRONOUNS, a lovely topic.
@Milo'sSyndicate - sorry to hear this.
My HR team hit me up with this…..”Kevin, you are the CEO, you have to set an example, you need to state your pronouns”..…I used a VERB versus a PRONOUN and just said NO.
They protested, so I added an ADVERB and said FUCK NO.
The very thought that a pronoun will change the world, or make the world better, is INSANITY…INSANITY being a NOUN and not a PRONOUN.
If this persists, we are so fucked - fucked being an ADJECTIVE, a PREDICATE or PARTICIPIAL ADJECTIVE to be precise.
In my capacity I have done things that do change the world, one grain of sand on a huge beach at a time, or boulders, it’s indifferent in my opinion, actions make differences, not pronouns.
- We have five years of scholarships, based upon MERIT, for people of color - four years of funds to help pay to get an education as long as you continue to perform and get grades and eduction, never waivered - competitive as all hell to get the win, some of the young folks that apply are absolute glass chewers - I can point to the difference made
- We have wildly enhanced extended family leave, and changed pay and bonus tied to MERIT, an old school concept just like my leathery old and fat ass, so you have time to have a kid, and to build a family, and the money to do this if you work hard, and set up for success, and this supports family values for everybody in the company - I can point to the difference
- Hiring in different schools, but still looking for TALENT and SKILLS and not QUOTA, and in that time our actual diversity by gender and by color has shifted, but we didn’t lose the MERIT of said hires, we focused on finding great people in different places, and the diversity was a bi-product, not a goal, and we have grown headcount by 50%, so it helped us find talent to fuel the company - difference is clear
I can go on and on, these idiots with their rules and policies that are focused upon the absolute wrong things just drive me insane, they make me want to dig a lot of holes in the Mojave Desert and fill them with….things.
The world has lost its fucking mind…The 1st meet was to determine if an investigation is warranted, and yes they are moving onto 2nd phase @ this Wednesday's meet.

I believe it will. There's a Civil Rights division case # now at the DOJ, their named in it.The world has lost its fucking mind…
@Milo'sSyndicate - hope this passes quickly
