I've thought about trying to grab a 296 a pile of times in the last few months. I think I'm at the point where I'd prefer to grab a 21 or 24 to feed my regular shooting and growing 44 Special addictions.
With the new Night Guard 396, that’s my go-to. No reason for me to get another carry/woods gun in 44SPL because that one checks all of my boxes.

Now will that stop me from getting others? No

I’ve been carrying small frame revolvers for a couple decades. For concealability and accessibility, I prefer appendix carry. Also, with the natural rounded shape of a small framed revolver, it’s very comfortable at the appendix position, especially with a bobbed or concealed hammer.

For holsters, I’ve been using the Veil Solutions Ghost holsters for over a decade and it’s become my go-to. That’s the reason we asked Chris to bring them back to market through us.
Do you ever pocket carry a J? I do with a micro .380 semi I carry quite often, inside a pocket holster. Was thinking of working on some revos for this summer in the same way.

I do all the time, pockets are deep enough in most Carhart jeans, not all, Polo khakis, and Duluth Trading khakis, and they fit quite nicely in cargo shorts but they will slap your leg all day in the side pockets.

I used to pocket carry a J-Frame back when I was working at the gun shop and wore much bigger shorts. Now I believe any shorts longer than a 5” inseam are capris.
