Turkish gun with great quality! I bought synthetic waterfowl version, which has oversized bolt handle and bolt release, then purchased wood stock and foreend direct from manufacturer. Field model doesn’t come with those features but can also be purchased, although more costly than the way I did it. Or just run it synthetic or with standard controls. I’m a sucker for wood. I can’t emphasize enough, really pretty wood. Great texture on grips, I would say more of a stipple than checkering. All metal trigger guard. Lengthened forcing cone and 5 chokes included. Patterns excellent. The technology in the bolt is a torsion spring which keeps gun in battery at all times. No break in, ran light target loads right away. Equally cycles 3 inch waterfowl and turkey loads. Breaks down and specs pretty much a clone of last gen Benelli Montefeltro. I prefer the oversized triangular safety of Benelli, but otherwise no complaints. Finish is matte and shows wear more easily than gloss blueing. Amazing value. Retails around $800, but can be found $600-$700 range. Video for your viewing pleasure!

When you look down the sight plane is it flat the entire way or does the rib raise up?

I prefer a flat look but most manufacturers have gone to the rib being substantially raised up.

Great question. It is a flat rib, similar to to that of a Benelli Montefeltro. I used to have one and this feels, operates and breaks down identically. Honestly, wouldn’t be surprised if parts are interchangeable, specifically the recoil spring which is housed in the stock and usually what fails. The only difference I have found is the bolt itself, which has a torsion spring inside to keep it in forward battery at all times, can’t be bumped out of engagement as easily, which causes short strikes of firing pin and a click instead of a boom. I’ve also used M2s which operate the same, have the same receiver, but different forearm and raised rib.

Cool! My son used my Montefeltro for years (its a synthetic one I got for 699 through Dunn's when they had a deal on them, wish I bought 5 of them I cant find them anymore, also I think the new ones have a raised rib now). He bought a Franchi Affinity 3 and he hates the sight plane. May have him look at one of these.

My only experience with them is one of my employees has one and when I shot sporting clays with him he had cycling issues.

Where are you finding them for 6-700?

No cycling issues for me so far (couple hundred rounds). I did have some with the Benelli, while breaking it in. I got mine at Buds. I remember that Dunns deal. I told many family and friends. It was a steal and some took advantage. I payed full retail $900-$1000 when I bought my Montefeltro.
