I told guests to take Dramamine or Bonine a couple hours before our whale watching tours. Seen lots of people take peppermint or ginger chews. Others use the prescribed patches behind the ear. Some people used those pressure point wristbands(not sure if those really work or not). Make sure you’re outside getting fresh air. Strong Bloody Mary’s as well.

Honestly it varies from person to person.

Can confirm: stiff drinks work well. Unless you’re working, Dramamine typically does the trick.

one and a half to two dramamine the night before getting on the boat.... If it is a multi night trip, maintain with 1 dramamine each day.
The times it works is when I take the Dramamine the night before. Morning-of or too close and it’s getting thrown up before it can get to work.

That said, offshore fishing opportunities sometimes materialize very quickly. Do you have any advice on how to get the Dramamine into your bloodstream faster? @Pete Correale
