Our Instagram Sunday Q&A is a weekly—or semiweekly depending on JV’s mood that day—chance for you to interact with our team directly. Ask whatever you like; insult us if you please; just don’t go crying about it when JV puts you in your place.
For those of you who are not completely inept, your answers will be swift and educational, leading you to knowledge akin to that of the ancient philosophers who helped drive our species from the Stone Age to modernity. That last part may not be true, but we sure as hell will give you our opinion and help you with whatever problems need solving.
We decided to post these Q&As here so those who had something better to do than look at Instagram on a Sunday afternoon or are dedicated to their craft and actually work Monday morning, can revel in the glory and enjoy some much-needed humor, quality product recommendations, and possible links to Schoby’s OnlyFans page.

Q: Which 45-70 Buffalo Bore bullet are y’all running? Wife surprised me with a guide gun.
A: Cool wife. In Australia we used the 380-grain Mono metal and 430-grain lead, but that was because we were hunting large bovines.
For most North America scenarios, the @barnesbullets 300-grain TSX factory load is the move.
Q: Sangin Collab info?
A: Sometime this month. No hard date set yet.
Q: When is the new Steyr coming?
A: Very soon. We shot the @steyrarms_us youth model .308 today to get ready for a father/son TX whitetail hunt next week. Woah… @steyrarms_us, @federalpremium.
Q: Thoughts on the Venezuela operation?
A: Everyone just needs to calm down and stick to the talking points so we can cop that oil.
Q: Need a 48+ gun safe. Recommendations?
A: @securit stackable safes.
Q: Any recommended footwear for an Argentina dove hunt or anything works?
A: Calm down. It’s a dove hunt. You can do it in flip flops. We suggest these…
Q: Do anything special to clean rifles after shooting Barnes copper bullets?
A: We use Wipe Out. It strips out everything. Don’t leave it in too long.
Q: Am I allowed to message again? Don’t worry I already have my running shoes on.
A: You DM our account more than anyone and you’re not even a print subscriber. Due to resources and ADHD, I’ve resorted to rarely opening your messages. Have some decency.
Q: What would you consider the best everyday bag/backpack for a new dad?
A: Not sure, but 15 years ago I did stumble upon the realization that Heineken and Newcastle mini kegs fit perfectly in a Baby Bjorn chest mounted baby carrier. Hope this helps.

Q: Now that we have plenty of oil…Ask Don to capture some Japanese series 70s?
A: I had Donnie Trump III staying with me this weekend and he now has 74 items he’s been instructed to take to his “grampa” with haste. Japanese diesels are high on this list.
Q: Timeframe for the new S&W? (Gonna be so annoying about this bc I want it badly)
A: They release just before shot show.
Q: How did the federal 308 ammo do in the fix?
A: Didn’t have time for that today.
Q: Any thoughts on the Sako 85 or 90s? So few quality wooden stock rifles on the market now.
A: They’re very good, but you need to take a hard look at the @winchesterrepeatingarms model 70s…especially the Super Grade.
Q: Now that we learned Omega guy got an Omega and is real can we get a new tribute?
A: Nobody is willing to bring their sin to light as boldly as Omega Watch Guy. Actually, is this you on a burner account?
Q: Thoughts on terminal accent factory loadings?
A: Very cool from what I know about it. Zero personal experience with it so far.
Q: Any thermal recommendations under $5k?

Q: We need a blaze orange safety 3rd hat for the irony, don’t we?
A: Probably going to do a drawing of this guy for your “Safety First” hats.
Q: Need help for a 5 rifle/shotgun combo to cover all Australian game.
A: Just get a .375 H&H and a 12ga and be done with it. Kangaroos don’t believe in overkill either.
Q: When’s the revolver drop?

A: We just posted a video of a sub 1/2” group from a @steyrarms_us youth rifle. Get that.
Q: I have 3 J-frames. How do I acquire the FE snubbie?
A: They’ll all ship to @lipseysguns (distributor) so dealers can stock or order them. @smithandwessoninc X FE.
Q: Got picked for the new Q lunchbox. Think the hype will live up to the $$?
A: Yes
Q: Why does my son want to put a Woox stock on a classic, 1960’s Marlin 336? Where did I fail?
A: That’s called a daughter.
Q: Uncle T’s favorite AR10 setup?
A: I’ve never heard Uncle @terry.houin say he likes any AR10’s.
Q: 7mm backcountry the future in 16-inch barrels or lead balloon?
A: The material tech is definitely a cool direction.
Q: Footwear of choice for Texas mountain hunting?

Q: You had mentioned an upcoming announcement about the M&P 10mm, any hints?
A: All I’ll say is we did this one for guides in brown bear country.
Q: Any cool stuff to hunt in Venezuela? (Other than narcos)
A: I bet you could get a damn good deal on a used cigarette boat in Venezuela right now.
Q: Was Omega guy allowed to get an actual Omega, or did he get one of those Swatch collabs?
A: His is real and it may be the most famous Seamaster on earth.
Q: Is the S&W J-frame collab single action/double action or DA only?
A: Bobbed hammer DAO.
Q: Favorite way to care for Courtney boots? Their polish or bear grease?

Q: Why the hate on the 7 SAUM? Gunwerks guys seem to like it as a caliber.
