Picking up a Taurus model 85 classic .38 special. It’s an older gun (no weird key locks) not the newer model. It’s a pretty gun with a nice blues finish, but I have no experience with their revolvers. Got it for a decent price; am I gonna regret spending money on it or should it be an ok pistola?

The Boss packs the Ultralite version with some crimson trace grips, had it for probably 20 years, no problems, but, maybe only 400-500 rounds through it. We got a Hellcat we are transitioning too for more ammo capacity and faster reloads, good to have options

I think you’ll be very happy with this. Taurus has had some times of inconsistency for QC, but a pre-lock more classic Taurus will be a cool gun. Keep us posted.

The steel 85 as a whole was a pretty solid little gun. Taurus will still warranty it for lifetime if for some reason you have a problem with it. I think you'll like it.

Just back from the adoption center. Grips will be replaced with something nicer but overall a nice little gun. Can’t wait to shoot it
That’s super clean. Wow. Is it just the picture or does that have great bluing?

IDK much about the 85 Classic, in my 2nd RagingHunter and have no regrets, but I'm not a pistol snob either. Listening to MANY in the revolver world; you can easily drop$1K plus on NEW (Colt/S&W) pistols, and they're junk; need at least new sights and probably a new spring set. Beautiful pistol you ended up with there! Congrats!
