The transitive property of mathematics states that, if A equals B and B equals C, then A must equal C. This basic universal concept also applies to geopolitics.
Every time I watch the news I feel just a little bit dumber. You would not think I would have to explain something so patently obvious, yet here we are. Bottom line up front, neutralizing the bloodthirsty theocracy in Iran is the best thing America has done since World War II.
Half the country gets this already. If you are in that half, just go back to your Mensa meetings or saving injured beagle puppies or whatever it is you typically do to occupy yourself. If you’re in the other half, then pay attention. Maybe even take some notes.
Israel and the United States recently launched a sweeping joint military operation against Iran. The opening salvoes of Operation Epic Fury claimed the life of one Ayatollah Ali Hosseini Khameini, along with some others who, frankly, just needed killing. This furry turd has been fomenting chaos around the world ever since 1979.
That’s all he has ever done. Now he’s gone. You might think everybody on Planet Earth to include his longsuffering wife and six children would celebrate his passing. And yet there are shockingly large swaths of the population both here and abroad who actually seem upset that we got rid of him. These are the same misguided folk who have been screaming about genocide in Gaza for the last several years. If you count yourselves among that mob, please tolerate a brief history lesson.
The Israelis didn’t roll into Gaza with tanks so they could enjoy a little quality time on the beach. They razed Gaza in response to the shockingly violent terrorist attacks of October 7, 2023. On that day, 6,000 Hamas terrorists crossed the Israeli border in 119 different spots, killing as they went. They kicked off the party with 4,300 rockets packing high-explosive warheads. These monsters slaughtered 1,195 Israelis and captured a further 251. The last living Israeli hostage was reluctantly returned 843 days later.
Now, let’s put that in perspective. On that one bloody day, Hamas killed one out of every 8,600 Israelis. Scaled up for our own population, that’s the equivalent of having Mexican and Canadian terrorists swarm across our own borders and murder 38,000 Americans … in a single day. How do you think the United States of Freaking America would have responded to that?
During 9/11, al Qaeda terrorists massacred 2,977 Americans. In response, we spent $8 trillion and directly or indirectly killed more than 4 million people. We have absolutely no room to judge the Israelis.
The Israelis have been fighting ever since 1948. Their neighbors have prosecuted multiple wars of extermination with the stated objectives of wiping them off of the face of the Earth. In recent times, those wars have had a single common denominator, and that is Iran.
Prior to Operation Epic Fury, Iran fielded some 10,000 ballistic missiles. That number is substantially smaller today. The mullahs in Iran have been actively pursuing nuclear weapons for decades. If you don’t believe that, then I have some prime beachfront property in Iowa I’d like to sell you.
In addition to lobbing high-explosive misery into Israel every time they felt they could get away with it, these scumbags have been bankrolling terrorists around the globe. Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world. Iran is the economic engine behind Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in south Lebanon, and the Houthis in Yemen, among others.
During the protracted war on terror, Iran has facilitated the killing of 3,500 Israelis and more than 7,000 Americans. If recent history has taught us anything, it is that these lunatics were never, ever going to quit. It is past time somebody put a stop to this insanity.
We have tried reasoning with these people. We have negotiated, begged, offered, and cajoled. Obama even attempted bribery. Throughout it all, they never even slowed down. They lied and murdered while paying others to do the same. They screamed “Death to Israel!” and “Death to America!” until Uncle Sam finally had about enough.
Don’t care for the heartrending images of suffering coming out of Gaza these past few years? Yeah, me, neither. However, were it not for Iran’s relentless exportation of terrorism, none of that would have happened. Were it not for Iran, we might have even avoided 9/11 as well. We certainly would have missed out on the Iran Hostage Crisis and the 1983 Beirut Marine bombing. There are literally countless others.
If you are upset that Operation Epic Fury is pulverizing the same psychopaths who have sown misery around the globe for the past four decades, then I suggest you go back to your video games so the grownups can work. The Iranian theocracy is like a bad dog that bites children. You cannot retrain such behaviors out of that animal. He is fit solely for destruction.
Hopefully, when the dust settles, kids in Israel and Gaza can again play outside without fear. Perhaps little girls in Iran can finally know what it is like to feel sunshine on their skin. If you stand against that, then, trust me, you are just on the wrong side of history.
