Everyone’s got one. The water that pulls you back no matter how far you roam.

Is it a quiet lake at dawn, a river that tests your balance, or the open sea where you lose track of time?

Tell us where you go when you need to reset, and what keeps you coming back.

Saltwater, Spearfishing for striped bass off of Block Island see

with a close second, being the Med for Bluefin

Lake Conroe in E Texas
Grew up learned to bass fish there, what started as innocent hobby turned into lifelong obsession

For me it’s the fresh water in the sierras and the salt water of the pacific. My heart and soul are ripped apart and patched up by both.

The Lower Laguna Madre in Deep South TX (and the Gulf of America). Very blessed to have grown up with a world class fishery and one of the few hyper-saline water bodies in the US that supports such an extensive ecosystem in my backyard. To be able to fish, waterfowl, surf, spearfish, and deep sea fish, all you had to do was change spots or boats!

Monterey bay in California. Some of the best cold water diving in the world. From easy shore dives that I’ve made 100’s of times to deep Tech rebreather dives. Seeing everything from nudibranchs, baby octopi, thresher sharks, whales and even the Landlord himself, the great white. The animal life is in constant motion. The water is bi-polar making it easy to extremely difficult. So meticulous planning is a must. It’s just an awesome place!

IMG_9650.jpegMy lake I own a half mile of lake shore on. My personal place to get away from it all. Not an exotic location but very special to me.

Tampa Bay, redfish, tarpon, Cobia, permit, etc. It’s a great fishery in the middle of the week.
Fresh water, Russian River in Coopers Landing, AK holds a special place in my heart IMG_20200505_180833_526.jpegIMG_0711.jpegIMG_20190701_201122_289.jpegVID_20200403_113553_exported_771383_1586034663351.jpegIMG_3118.jpeg

I make an annual trip to Lake Erie for Spring walleye, but the Chesapeake Bay takes the top spot for me.
