Both very nice pieces @YETI
Like you, I have a Seiko 7002 that I've owned for 16 years and stashed in my safe years ago, except mine is a 7002-700J. Last I remember it was not keeping time and was due for a service. Such a cool watch that deserves some wrist time.
This thread gave me the kick in the ass I needed - will be pulling it out and getting it serviced next week.

I’m always in a pinch gift buying for the wife. I might be using these posts for inspiration. Are you all tired of my chick watches yet? 90s cocktail Maurice Lacroix. I found an excellent curator based in Vienna and get most of my vintage pieces from them. This is one of my favorites from over the years

View attachment 1340Omega aqua terra 38mm vertical teak. Finally back to work after surgery. A stint of being under the weather really makes one appreciate the healthy days. Thoughts out to anyone else going through medical stuff!
It’s been a great sidekick for the last 10 years. Easy to choose especially with work attire - high quality but not attention grabbing. Very capable with 150m water resistance and hides scratches surprisingly well (and mine has a bunch). It’s not the most exciting watch ever, but you still get those moments when the light hits it right where it really comes to life. The teak dial and applied logo also adds nice subtle textureI think the Aqua Terra might be under appreciated. I really like that.
The teak dial hits or slaps or whatever the kids say. For all the things mentioned I think “high quality but not attention grabbing” sums it up.It’s been a great sidekick for the last 10 years. The newer generation aqua terra’s have much dressier president style bracelets which elevate them quite a bit. Plus they added a micro adjust clasp.
