I got my Seiko back, swapped on the new band, and we're in business again! To celebrate, I took it swordfish fishing with my brother and dad on his new boat. Didn't catch anything, but had a great day and had a few Pacificos to boot!

Early 2000s Omega 300m quartz. The “Goldeneye” watch. Lesser known fact is that the quartz version was the actual watch in the movie. The automatic version was released after.

I wish Omega would move back towards the case dimensions of this era. This is a 42mm that is quite thin and feels more like a 40mm

I'd taken the wife to a jeweler in Roanoke VA to buy a Christmas gift for her. Naturally I'm more interested in the fair selection of Rolex watches. I was looking for a Sky-Dweller in Gold / SS.

There was none in the several displays full of other models.

As we were leaving, the sales man asked if I was looking for something particular. With my Gold & SS Sky-Dweller response, he directed me to the lone display case in the corner of the room across fro the other Rollies.

There it was, just what I wanted. Wrap it up. But I had to wait about three weeks to take it home because it had to be on display thru 30 JAN.

It's a great watch, but the hands are hard for me to see without readers. I may be looking to trade it for a similar GMT.
